'Chapel'

This is the newly 'built' chapel. A tent. Every Sunday, young and old alike come for Sunday mass, sometimes swelling to 400 people, standing room only.

What you see is real, the chapel is supported by a wooden structure. It has no walls, no electricity, no water, no pews. Just some benches and a table for an altar. Here are some of us missionaries with the choir of the chapel. Their simple and sincere service is amazing!

Dumpsite youths

There are large segments of youth near a rubbish dumpsite (landfill) area where they live. They are youths who are unreached. After making some preliminary checks we found many of them loitering in the streets, gambling, playing basketball or other games for money, not having any purpose in life. No education, no job opportunities. An 18-year-old we spoke to says her dream is to work in Singapore as a domestic helper.

Many of them are Catholics, but the lack of education meant they may not know how to pray the 'Our Father' even in their own language. Our aim and goal is to befriend these youths and reach out to them with music, basic catechesis, home visits etc...
