It's been a long time since i blogged. So much has happened and so little time to blog. Just a short sharing about something that happened 2 days ago (still in Manila).
A lady 'happened' to be sitting next to me at weekday mass. She sang beautifully and i immediately thought i would affirm her on her singing. Instead, she beat me to it, and we started a conversation. I introduced myself as a lay missionary and she immediately asked where i was in India, and when we both got over our initial shock that we both were in Bangalore at the same time. We shot off some names, and viola! we knew the same people. Apparently, she was given my name and telephone number while she was still in India, but for lack of knowledge, she didnt make it to our house (in the Philippines) for a visit. God brought me to her instead.
As i listened to her story, i cant help but think how compassionate our Lord is. He would have looked at her with so much love. His eyes melting into hers, listening intently without any distraction, her story is the most important to him at that moment. She later mentioned that she wouldn't have been able to share what she shared even a few months ago. Not to mention now that she is sharing with a complete stranger.
I guess God knew that she needed to be away from the situation that she is in, or that I needed to hear her story, or that He wanted to use me. Whatever it is, I'm glad I did hear her out, it has strengthened me...
Cos in my own little struggle, God used her story to remind me that there is no other security in anything or anyone except in him who has the light yoke to exchange with my heavy one. And He alone can carry his little lamb to the refreshing waters.
I am also assured that if the need arises He can bring someone ALL the way from another country, just to help carry my burden a little, to share the load. How precious we are!
